Hun Manet Provides Encouragement to All Military Candidates

PHNOM PENH: The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet, has provided important encouragements to all candidates who have applied for the military. He said that all candidates must accept their results, whether they were able to successfully get in or failed.

In a social media message posted on Tuesday morning, 11 October 2022, Lt. Gen. Hun Manet said that the recruitment exam was organized following Ministry policy, which ensures that the exam is conducted correctly and fairly.

He instructed all candidates to pay close attention to the exam, and afterwards, when the results are announced, despite the outcome they must accept that they have done their best. Moreover, he said candidates should not count on their parents or other relatives working in military units to intervene, because the final result will be based on each individual's ability.

He said, "We will try to build trust with you if you know you passed [the exam], it is your pride. But if you do not pass, you will also be relieved because you did your best. This work requires your participation. You must firstly try hard for yourself, you do not have to share [this with anyone]. Secondly, you should not approach anyone to intervene [in your result]. Lastly, do not rely on illegal methods."

The Lt. Gen. also stated that the military entrance exam is not only for the benefit of individuals, but also helps the education system and recruitment system, and also helps maintain the country's transparency.
